Molly Kellogg's Motivational Interviewing Counseling Intensive Training

I attended a two day Counseling Intensive taught by Molly Kellogg in Philadelphia, PA alongside three other WIC nutritionists.

Certified Lactation Counselor Certification

In February, 2016 I attended a 1-week (5 day) course in Chambersburg, PA to obtain my CLC certification. The training consisted of 4.5 days of class, homework assignments for 4 days and a comprehensive/visual exam.

I now use this certification at the Chester County WIC program in order to support all future and current breastfeeding women on the program.

ServSafe Manager Certification

In September, 2013 I obtained the ServSafe Manager certification in order to get a job in a nursing home as a dietary aide and to advance at Carrabba's Italian Grill.

I have been an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics member throughout college as a student and now as a professional. I have always participated in surveys and studies when asked by the AND.

In college, I was a Student Dietetic Association Member and participated in on-campus nutrition education as a MyPlate Campus Ambassador through the AND.

NIH Web-based Training Course

As part of my master's level "Methods of Research" course, I completed the National Institute of Health (NIH) tutorial titled, “Protecting Human Research Participants”. Upon completion of this training, I am now able to conduct research through the NIH- human subjects research for the next three years.
